In the timeline of BMW's Z series, the Z1, which was produced from 1989 to 1991 and only produced in small numbers, was followed by the so-called Z3. With the Z3 introduced in 1995, BMW brought out a roadster for everyone - the two-seater, which sloped diagonally to the rear for a long time, had its own unmistakable body design. Initially, 1.8- and 1.9-liter four-cylinder engines were offered, later various in-line six-cylinder engines and a coupé version were added. In total, almost 280,000 units rolled off the assembly line at the American plant in Spartanburg – the Z3 was built exclusively there.

Exterior paint/paint/body:

The paint of this BMW is presented in dark green, which, according to the seller, is not perfect and has a few visual signs of wear here and there, but is basically in a decent condition. It should also be mentioned that the Z3 is still in its original paint and no repainting has been carried out so far. Furthermore, an accident can be completely ruled out. 4 years ago the beige convertible top came new - it is accordingly in very good condition without cracks. Modifications deviating from the original condition are apparently not to be mentioned on the exterior, all plastic add-on parts are also preserved in proper condition.

The current owner certifies that the brakes have a condition assessment of 70-90% and in terms of chassis technology, this Z3 has the M-Sport suspension.

Interior:

Beige is the main colour in the interior of the BMW Z3 Roadster: After consultation with the seller, a few signs of wear that have accumulated over the years can be discovered in the interior and the outer driver's seat bolster is dented - on the whole, however, the vehicle can be said to be in good overall condition in view of its age of now over 25 years. The function of the folding top is fully given, as is the function of all interior features - which, in addition to the leather seats and the 3-spoke leather steering wheel, include power steering, central locking, power windows and a contemporary cassette radio. Engine:

The 1.9-liter in-line four-cylinder engine in this BMW Z3 from first registration in 1996 produces 140 hp - the gears are engaged via a 5-speed manual transmission and the power of the engine is thus transmitted to the rear axle. According to the seller, the technology works well and the BMW has always run without any problems - a final service was only recently carried out in April 2023.
