Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior Kantenhaube (1970)

Vehicle description

For sale is a 1970 Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior in white (Bianco Spino) with black faux leather interior.

Highlights:

  • Exceptionally good condition—interior in mint condition, bodywork revised and mechanics extremely well maintained
  • Short appraisal with a grade of 2+ available
  • The vehicle was imported from Italy in 2005 and was in unrestored original condition at the time (2005 report with a grade of 1.2 available)
  • Over the last 10 years, around €30,000 has been invested in the vehicle in the form of bodywork, paintwork, and technical restoration
  • Complete overhaul of the bodywork and repainting in 2014 (following minor, documented rear damage, this was taken as an opportunity to carry out more extensive work)
  • Even before this work was carried out, the bodywork was in good condition—for example, the sills are unwelded and rust-free
  • In 2022, the transmission, including the clutch, was completely overhauled, the master brake cylinder was replaced, and the carburetors were overhauled.

Model history

The Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior was introduced in February 1966 and was built until 1975. The 1300 Junior was powered by a lively 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine with twin carburetors, which produced 87 hp and offered a thoroughly sporty driving experience. The only visual difference from the larger 1600 model was a modified radiator grille. Despite its smaller engine, the car impressed with its lightweight construction and agile handling. It was also equipped with disc brakes on all wheels and a five-speed transmission. The interior offered sporty elegance with classic round instruments and high-quality materials. To this day, the GT 1300 Junior remains a sought-after vehicle for lovers of Italian automotive art.

LG Tom
