Technik: Bei seinem Erscheinen galt der MGB als relativ modern. Er besaß eine selbsttragende Karosserie, die Fahrzeuggewicht und Fertigungsaufwand senkte und dem Wagen größere Stabilität verlieh. Das war gegenüber den Vorgängern MGA und MG T-Type eine wesentliche Verbesserung, ein Wettbewerbsvorteil, den der MGB auch gegenüber seinem Wettbewerber Triumph TR hatte. Zur neuen Konstruktion gehörten auch Kurbelscheiben und ein größerer Innenraum mit ausreichend Fußraum und einer Hutablage hinter den Sitzen. LG Tom
