The BMW E21, the first generation of the 3 Series, was produced from 1975 to 1983 as a sporty two-door saloon. Initially equipped with four-cylinder engines, six-cylinder engines were added from 1977. A total of over 1.3 million units were produced, including rare Baur top convertibles. The E30 followed in 1982 with extended body variants.
