Model history

The BMW E21, designed by Paul Bracq, impressed with its timeless design and striking details such as the characteristic round headlights. A facelift in 1979 brought new rear lights and a revised front end. Interior variants from 1981 onwards gave the E21 an individual touch. The E21 not only influenced the automotive world of its time, but was also recognized as groundbreaking by the Design Museum in London.
