Model history

The Lancia Beta Berlina 1800, which was built by the Italian car manufacturer Lancia from the fall of 1972 to the end of 1984, was given the second letter of the Greek alphabet as a continuation of the nomenclature used at the beginning of the company's history. The standard model was a four-door saloon (Berlina) with a hatchback, the exterior of which was redesigned by Pininfarina over the years. The 1.8-liter engine was the top model of the first generation and offered balanced driving performance. Contemporary German test reports described the Lancia Beta as solidly finished, lavishly equipped and still a touch aristocratic. With its elegant design and advanced technology, the Beta Berlina set new standards in the mid-size class.
