Vehicle description
For the 1975 model year, Porsche introduced the so-called 911 Turbo, internally referred to as the Porsche 930. A turbocharger from Kühnle, Kopp & Kausch ("KKK") helped it to achieve an output of 260 hp from a displacement of 3.0 litres. With the 1978 model year, the turbo received a displacement surcharge of 3.3 liters and now produced 300 hp – Among other things, the compression of the six-cylinder boxer engine was increased and an intercooler was used, which required a larger rear wing compared to the predecessor. It was not until 1989 that the production period of the Porsche Turbo 3.3 ended, a total of well over 17,000 copies of the coupé and convertible body versions were produced.
In this auction, a unique Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 from 1987 can now be auctioned. Why unique? Because this Porsche Turbo, which was first registered in the USA in September 1987, demonstrably comes from the collection of the star Paul Walker (Fast & Furious series), who died in 2013 under tragic circumstances, of the "AE Performance Collection". A history of the car with the FIN WP0JB0933HS050385 is available: First the car ran in the USA, in 2013 the 911 then came to the Netherlands, before it finally landed in Germany. Many documents, documents and expert opinions are available for the vehicle. A Classic Data vehicle rating from July 2017 exists and certified the car at that time a replacement value of 160,000 € and gave the Porsche the overall condition grade 2+. Matching numbers are given according to the seller's information. A service from the local Porsche specialist workshop is also included in the purchase price. In addition, a new full report on the registration of the vehicle in Germany can be applied for at any time for an additional charge.
According to the vehicle evaluation, the paint layer thickness of the classic red body was measured. The result: Except for the rear bumper, which was coated just like the right fender, this 911 Turbo with a paint layer thickness of about 100 to 160 micrometers is in an above-average condition. Damage such as scratches, dents, paint chips or other deficits cannot be found on the exterior of the Turbo 3.3. The gap dimensions are uniform and all decorative elements on the vehicle are present. A striking feature at the rear are on the one hand the large rear spoiler and on the other hand the double tailpipes, which are arranged on the left and right outside.
Tyres from the manufacturer Michelin from 2013 are mounted in the dimension of 205/55 on the front axle and 245/45 on the rear axle on 16-inch Porsche Fuchs rims. The tyres still have sufficient profile and the forged Fuchs rims are preserved in perfect condition. Neither the braking system nor the chassis area is anything to be exposed.
The interior of the Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 as well as the perfectly preserved exterior cannot be damaged. Except for a slightly patinated driver's seat, no complaints can be made that could cloud the overall impression of the interior condition. In addition to the black full leather seats, the following features are also present in this turbo: electric windows, electric seat adjustment, air conditioning. Color glazing, heated rear window, rear wiper, electric steel sunroof, fog lights, headlight cleaning system, electric adjustable exterior mirrors and a JVC accessory radio.
The characteristic 5 round instruments of the Porsche all provide important information about the 911 Turbo: One modification is the replacement of the watch with a boost air pressure display. Only 23,701 miles, i.e. the equivalent of about 38,150 kilometers, this car has run since its delivery. A checkbook as well as a large number of documents and receipts for the 911 are available, and a CarFax is also available. All instruments in the interior are in perfect condition.
In terms of condition, the turbocharged 3.3-liter boxer engine with 300 hp in the rear of the 911 is in perfectly preserved condition. Shifting is via a 4-speed manual transmission, which can be operated without any problems. According to the vehicle evaluation, neither the engine nor the transmission show oil sweating. In 2014, a final service took place. Recent repair work includes: the optimization of the turbocharger and the renewal of the gasoline hoses. Defects in the powertrain are not to be listed according to the seller's information.
In terms of underbody technology, this Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 presents itself in an impeccable condition corresponding to the overall performance without damage. In summary, the current owner makes it worth mentioning that this Porsche 930 Turbo 3.3 is one of the most beautiful examples on the world market in the most beautiful state of preservation. With the history of this vehicle and the perfect condition, this turbo is absolutely worthy of collection.
