Model history:
The Mini saw the light of day at Austin and Morris in 1959. Since then, he has helped write the eventful history of British car manufacturing. In 1969, the Mini became an independent brand. This brand was built by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later British Leyland and by Rover or their licensing partners (such as Innocenti). Over the years, the Minis have not only been sold far more than five million times, they were also available in several variants. Among these variants was the so-called "Clubman", which at that time was available with both short and long wheelbase.
General information about the vehicle:
The Mini offered in this auction is a Clubman with a long wheelbase from the year of construction 1980, which was first registered for traffic in April of the same year and has now been imported fresh from Italy, according to the seller. Overall, only three owners are said to have called the Clubman their own over the years and the current owner assumes the so-called matching numbers.
Exterior colour/varnish/body:
In terms of paintwork, this Mini Clubman, which is kept in brown metallic, has never been repainted since its delivery - which means that the car still has its original paint. Compared to the standard version, a Clubman has a slightly longer engine compartment and a "more angular" front, as well as a double-leaf rear door. According to the seller, corrosion or missing parts on the body cannot be listed, and the exterior is generally in a well-preserved condition given the age of the vehicle.
Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:
Tyres with - according to the statements of the current owner - sufficient tread are mounted on original rims. The seller mentions that neither brake technology nor in the area of the chassis deficits can be listed.
Interior:
The interior is colour-coordinated with the exterior colour of the Mini: various shades of brown create a dignified atmosphere in the interior of the Clubman, which is not tarnished by any damage or coarse signs of wear. Also the trunk presents itself apparently in still good condition without defects. For further details regarding the condition of the interior and the features of this Mini Clubman, the many pictures are available.
Mileage
The round instruments of this car are pressed into a wood veneer. After consultation with the seller, he states that the Mini has covered about 110,000 kilometers since its delivery and that all displays and controls in the interior have a full function.
Engine
Engine-wise, this Clubman got a complete overhaul - in the course of which all technical components of the vehicle were overhauled. The 1.0-liter in-line four-cylinder is coupled to a 4-speed manual transmission and delivers just under 54 hp.
Subsoil:
No rust can be seen on the underside of the vehicle, and according to the current owner, the car has never been welded and has a decent substance. A Mini has long had cult status and enjoys high sympathy ratings. If you have always wanted to experience the unique Mini driving experience and do not want to do without transport capacities - for you this Mini Clubman from 1980 is the right car, which also convinces with its very good stainless condition.
