In this auction a beautiful silver Mercedes CE 220 from 1992 will be offered. The vehicle was first registered for road traffic in December of the same year and has since been owned by two owners. The sporty coupé has matching numbers and has so far remained accident-free, as well as the history of the vehicle with the VIN WDB12404218901094 is well documented despite some gaps in the checkbook. The Mercedes of the W124 series is not yet entitled to carry H license plates, but this should be a formality due to the very good state of preservation. The vehicle is approved for road traffic without restrictions and will be handed over to the new owner with a TÜV badge valid until May 2024 and 2 sets of keys.

With its silver-metallic paint finish with the colour code 744, the Mercedes CE 220 has a particularly dynamic character and radiates the elegance typical of vehicles of the W124 series. Dents, dents or corrosion damage could not be detected during the inspection of the sporty vehicle, that in the front area repainted coupé has only on the bumper a small recognizable scratch. The equipment of the vehicle has the high level typical of Mercedes, with central locking, power steering and ABS ensuring safety, while electric windows, sunroof, heated seats and radio increase driving comfort. No damage to the interior and only slight signs of use could be detected, so that the vehicle presents itself in a very good condition.

The timelessly beautiful coupé has covered just over 175,000 kilometres in the past 30 years. This value is confirmed by the display on the speedometer and is also comprehensible on the basis of the documents on the history of the vehicle. The functionality of all instruments and controls was checked and no failures or impairments were detected.

The Mercedes CE 220 has a four-cylinder petrol engine that achieves an output of 150 hp (110 KW) with a displacement of 2199 cc. A 4-speed automatic transmission is used, with which the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 km/h. No defects in the engine and the technical elements could be found during the last service in January 2021, as well as the underbody with the associated components in good condition.

In the past, necessary repairs were carried out promptly and wear parts were replaced immediately. There is therefore no doubt about the driving ability of the dynamic Mercedes CE 220 at the moment, but the condition of the youngtimer should be continuously checked as part of regular inspections.
