Model history:

BMW presented the technocratic 850i (E31) with V12 engine and 300 hp at the IAA 1989 in Frankfurt. Its development began at the beginning of 1984 and the design was created under the direction of BMW's chief designer Claus Luthe. The "Achter" was the first car in the world with a so-called multiplex technology: an early form of digital data transmission. In the course of the construction period, various V8 and V12 cylinders were created, which were equipped with different displacement sizes. Of all models, a total of over 30,000 copies were produced by the end of production in 1999.

A BMW of the E31 generation built in 1991 as model 850i will now be released for auction in this auction. This BMW with the FIN WBAEG21050CB03487 is an import from Japan and comes from 3rd hand. Due to a partially kept checkbook, the history of the car as well as the mileage can be approximately proven according to the owner's information, and the so-called matching numbers are also assumed. The E31 is already in possession of an H-approval, the most recent general inspection shows a validity until May 2023.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Repaints on the silver body of this 850i are not to be mentioned according to sellers - the BMW still wears its first paint dress. The body design of the 8 Series E31 is elegant and sporty at the same time, the delicate BMW kidney grille, like the entire front end, is based on that of the BMW M1. At the rear, large taillights and the angular exhaust tailpipes attract attention. Modifications to the exterior deviating from the original condition are not to be mentioned after consultation with the seller.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

The original BMW multi-spoke alloy rims are fitted with tyres, which, according to the seller's estimate, have between 70-90% of their new condition. Also between 70-90%, the current holder indicates the condition of the brakes. In 2022, the shock absorbers and springs were redone with original parts.

Interior:

The interior of the BMW 850i features integral velour seats, which have been preserved in undamaged condition. The rest of the interior is also neither damaged nor missing parts. In addition to a sunroof, the following features are also on board this BMW 8 Series: power steering, central locking, power windows, heated seats, air conditioning, ABS, cruise control and a radio. The seller states that except for a defective electric passenger seat height adjustment, all equipment elements in the interior of this E31 work without problems. Mileage

Approximately 74,000 kilometres can be read on the display in the instrument cluster of the BMW E31, which can be verified by a partially kept checkbook. The instruments and displays can all be attested to an impeccable function.

Engine

As the model name already reveals, works under the hood of this 8-series BMW a 5.0-liter V12 engine, which delivers 300 hp and 450 Newton meters via 4-speed automatic transmission to the roads. Final service work took place in May 2021.
