Model history

The Chevrolet Standard was introduced in 1933 as an independent model series and represented a cheaper alternative to the Chevrolet series of the time. As the smallest and most affordable model in the portfolio, it was particularly attractive to buyers looking for a vehicle suitable for everyday use with a six-cylinder engine. The Standard with a wheelbase of 107 inches was offered in three body variants: as a two-door sedan - often referred to as a "coach" in contemporary Chevrolet marketing -, as a coupé and as a coupé with an additional rumble seat. The Chevrolet Standard thus exemplified the automotive progress of the early 1930s - functional, affordable and technically sophisticated.

Technik: Der Chevrolet Standard Mercury, bzw. LG Tom
