Model history:

Although visually completely redesigned compared to its predecessor, Mercedes-Benz relied on the tried and tested under the sheet metal for the 111 model series: the chassis of the Ponton was adopted in principle, but comprehensively revised, including shock absorbers set far outwards. Subsequently, the W 111 underwent a restoration and the TÜV full acceptance took place in 2000 - a little later the registration for the current owner took place.
