Vehicle description
In 1973, Porsche's G-Series eleven – or to put it bluntly – the "G-models" came onto the market. The main difference between the original 911 and the G model was primarily the larger bumpers of the revised 911: Due to new legislation in the USA, they had in particular new, higher-mounted and more voluminous bumpers, which, according to regulations, were able to digest shocks up to an impact speed of five miles per hour without injuries to the vehicle. With more than 50 years of production and eight generations of 911, the impressive production figure of almost 200,000 units of the G-Series speaks for itself.
The Porsche 911 available for auction in this auction is an S model from the G series. The Zuffenhausen sports car was first admitted in December 1977 – it was delivered to the first owner in the USA via a Porsche/Audi dealership in North Carolina. The 911 S has a total of 3 holders with the chassis number 9117202564, in 2014 this Porsche was imported to Germany, where it stood for some time and was only reactivated in 2022. 2 vehicle keys still exist and due to a guided checkbook and various existing invoices, the history of this Porsche can be traced. Matching numbers are available according to the seller's information, the TÜV is renewed according to this on request before the handover to the future owner.

Since this Porsche 911 S still bears its first paint in the factory livery called "Sahara diamond" (Porsche color code 436) after almost 45 years except for a subsequent conversion of the rear bumper to EU "Bumper", various scratches, paint chips and smaller polished areas can be seen on the body. Especially at the front, several stone chips can be detected. Rust, on the other hand, cannot be found on the entire body of this 911, even modifications deviating from the original condition are not present. Gross damage or defects to the exterior cannot be complained of.

Original, silver chopping knife rims serve as rims: These are in a used condition. Although the Dunlop tyres have a good tread to take off, according to DOT the tyres are from 2010 and therefore need to be changed for safety reasons. The disc brakes at the front and rear can be said to be in good condition, even in the area of the chassis there are apparently no deficits to enumerate.

Black leather in the interior creates a classic sports car ambience: On the side wall of the driver's seat, a chafed area of the piping can be spotted, otherwise the full leather sports seats are still completely intact and the upholstery also seems good. The three-spoke leather steering wheel is not particularly worn and the black dashboard has no cracks. The headliner and the footwell carpet are well preserved according to their age. No missing parts can be identified throughout the interior of this 911 S. In addition to the turbo sports seats, air conditioning and a contemporary radio are also on board the Porsche.

A familiar sight for 911 drivers: the five round instruments in the dashboard. The mileage speedometer shows 42,220 miles, which would correspond to a level of 67,950 converted into kilometers. All instruments in the interior work perfectly. The seller mentions that a complete history (including on-board folder with service booklet and invoices) is available and this low overall mileage can thus be proven. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that all invoices including mileage information are available.

This Porsche 911 S is powered by a 2.7-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which generates an output of 165 hp. The driver shifts the gears via a 5-speed manual transmission. In January 2022, a final service took place, as recent repairs the current owner lists the following works: renewal of SSI stainless steel heat exchanger (NOS part), new battery, new Euro headlights, engine removal with complete sealing.

The underbody of this Porsche 911 S from 1977 presents itself in very good condition: According to the seller, the future owner has no work to do except to renew the tires.

Paint layer measurements were carried out on site and can be viewed in the gallery.
