    Technik: Einen ersten Ausblick auf den 2+2-Sitzer lieferte das Konzeptfahrzeug LF-LC, das im Januar 2012 auf der NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show) vorgestellt wurde. Die Serienversion debütierte vier Jahre später ebenfalls in Detroit als LC 500. Diese übernimmt den 351 kW (477 PS) starken Fünfliter-V8-Ottomotor aus dem RC F und dem GS F und soll das erste Serienfahrzeug weltweit sein, in dem ein 10-Gang-Automatikgetriebe zum Einsatz kommt. Anders als im RC und im GS stellt der Fünfliter-Ottomotor nicht das Top-Modell der Baureihe dar, stattdessen soll im LC F ein neuer V8-Biturbomotor auf rund 450 kW kommen. Auf dem Genfer Auto-Salon 2016 zeigte Lexus den LC 500h mit einem 264 kW (359 PS) starken Hybridantrieb. Beide Varianten wurden ab Juni 2017 zu Preisen ab 99.200 Euro verkauft. Auf der NAIAS im Januar 2019 präsentierte Lexus eine offene Variante des LC als Konzeptfahrzeug. Die Serienversion debütierte im November 2019 auf der LA Auto Show. Im April 2020 präsentierte Lexus eine leicht überarbeitete Version des LC im Juli 2020 das Coupé als vollausgestattete LC 500 Club Edition in der Farbe Nori-Grün. 2022 wurden 40 Fahrzeuge der in vier Farben gefertigten Hokkaido-Edition für Europa vorgesehen; ihr Name bezieht sich auf die Vulkaninsel Hokkaidō. Die Ausstattung beinhaltete geschmiedete 21-Zoll-Räder und innen im Fahrerbereich indigo-rote Akzente. Eine weitere Modellpflege wurde im April 2023 vorgestellt. Außerdem debütierte das Sondermodell LC 500 Ultimate Edition in der Farbe Hakugin-Weiß. Im Frühjahr 2025 endete in Europa der Verkauf der Baureihe. Die auf 100 Coupés und 100 Cabrios limitierte Version LC 500 Pinnacle wurde im Juli 2025 für Japan vorgestellt. LG Tom
