The end of the first three-seater BMW with the type designation E21 was also the dawn of a new era for the Munich-based premium manufacturer. The new one – called the E30 – was available at BMW dealerships from 1982 onwards. The four- and six-cylinder engines initially corresponded essentially to those of the predecessor. In contrast to the predecessor, all four- and six-cylinder models now wore the dual headlight face as standard, a distinguishing feature was now the different design of the rear muffler. The entry-level model into the E30 world was the so-called 316, which was initially available with carburetor, later with injection. By 1994, a total of almost 2.34 million BMW E30s had been produced.

The BMW E30 from 1988 offered in this auction is the model 316. The first registration of this white 2-door sedan with the FIN WBAAK150X02337483 took place in Germany, over the years only 2 owners came together, who called the BMW their own. According to the seller, the previous owner is said to have been an elderly gentleman who nurtured and cared for the BMW. A checkbook for the car is available, in addition, 2 vehicle keys are still available. The so-called matching numbers are given, the TÜV ran until August 2022, an H-approval this 316 sometimes does not have. The TÜV can be replaced without any problem.

Externally, this E30 painted in the BMW colour "Alpine White II" is in a complete original condition – after consultation with the current owner, repainting can only be discovered in the area under the bumpers, otherwise this 316 impresses with its well-preserved first paint. Corrosion cannot be detected on the exterior as far as can be seen, and no parking damage to the bumpers is recognizable. The seller completely excludes an accident. All add-on parts as well as the chrome elements preserved on the car have a good condition, the windows are not scratched and the front is not covered with stone chips.

Original 14-inch steel rims with BMW hubcaps together with tyres from the 2014 production year of the Nexen brand in the dimension of 195/60 ensure the external appearance of the E30. According to the current owner, a good condition can be taken from the brakes, and no deficits can be taken out in the area of the chassis.

Grey fabric seats in undamaged condition can be found in the interior of this 316: the door panels as well as the dashboard and the centre console are kept black. On the 4-spoke steering wheel, just as little signs of wear can be detected as on the very well-preserved gear knob. Damage, missing parts or even large traces of use can not be criticized in the entire interior of this E30, on the whole the interior of the BMW presents itself in a condition corresponding to the mileage. The equipment of this 316 is reduced to the essentials: A contemporary Blaupunkt cassette radio is located in the center console.
