Alfa Romeo Spider (1993)

Vehicle description

Model history:

Like hardly any other convertible, the Alfa Romeo Spider built from 1966 to 1993 presents Italian technology and lifestyle. Be it the beautiful to look at and extremely sporty sounding DOHC four-cylinder or the pleasingly drawn interior of the individual models. As the successor to the Spider "Aerodinamica" (3rd generation), Alfa Romeo offered the last version of the classic Spider from 1989 to 1993: the Series 4. This Spider of the 4th generation was also the last Spider from Alfa Romeo with rear-wheel drive. As engines, there were two different displacement sizes with different power outputs to choose from: The 1.6 and the 2.0-liter variants.

General information about the vehicle:

An Alfa Romeo Spider of the 4th generation can now be auctioned in this auction: This is a model with 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder and catalytic converter from the year of construction 1993, which was imported from Italy and carries the FIN ZAR11500007008047. In total, this spider has 2 holders and the so-called matching numbers are confirmed by the seller. Although it is no longer possible to present an exact history of the vehicle, the mileage is partly traceable according to the current owner. The Alfa Romeo is already in possession of an H approval, the TÜV is valid until April 2024.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

In the Series 4 of the Spider, the spoiler on the tailgate disappeared and the Alfa shield ("Scudetto") was painted together with the bumpers and integrated into the front. The continuous light strip at the rear should provide this Spider for the family resemblance to the Alfa 164. After consultation with the seller, he states that the body has already been completely repainted and is in correspondingly good optical condition - the current owner can rule out freedom from accidents during the current holding period. Even modifications deviating from the original condition cannot be objected to on the exterior. The black soft top of the Spider is apparently said to be in an undamaged condition.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

Dunlop tyres in the size 195/60 R15, which come from the production year 2010, are mounted on original Alfa alloy rims. According to the seller, the brake system of this Alfa Romeo still has 50-70% of its new condition - no inconsistencies can be found in the area of the chassis.

Interior:

The interior of this 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider is beige/black: driver and front passenger sit in beige-dyed partial leather seats, the dashboard and parts of the door panels are classic black. As a defect in the interior, the current owner indicates the worn handbrake lever. In addition to the partial leather interior, this Spider also has a 3-spoke wooden steering wheel and power windows. Easy to open and close again is the well-preserved soft top of this Alfa Romeo.

Mileage

Almost 115,000 kilometers can be read on the odocounter of the car - according to the seller, the total mileage of the vehicle can be almost traced and all instruments and displays in the interior are full of function.

Engine

Cleanly preserved is the 2.0-liter in-line four-cylinder engine, which transmits 120 hp via a 5-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels. Only recently a final service was done and in the course of this Alfa Romeo received new spark plugs.

Subsoil:

As partially welded, but rust-free in the whole, the seller of this car indicates the underbody condition. A legendary look and an incomparable sound of the Alfa twin camshaft engine are among the special features of a Spider. The partially restored Alfa Romeo Spider from the Series 4 on offer here is also the crowning glory of the rear-wheel drive Spider. Get on board and experience the pure "Dolce Vita" feeling!
