The Opel Kapitän P2, produced by Opel from 1959 to 1963, was a luxury-class sedan. As the successor to the Opel Kapitän P1, it was distributed in Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Great Britain. With its 2.6-liter six-cylinder engine, which delivered a powerful 90 hp, the Kapitän P2 presented itself as a spacious and comfortable vehicle. Almost 145,600 units were produced up to 1963.
