The Ford Motor Company is one of the most famous automobile manufacturers in the world and was founded in Detroit in 1903 by the equally famous Henry Ford. The company achieved world fame with its groundbreaking innovation of integrating the assembly line concept into the production of its vehicles. The car, which had previously been an expensive toy of rich people, became a mass product from 1915 and the Model T produced by Ford for 18 years became the epitome of the American way of life. 15 million units of this multiply modified model were produced until 1927, before the perennial favorite was replaced by the Ford Model A from 1928. The recent decline in sales figures then picked up again, so that the Model A with its cable strength and better equipment brought Ford back on the road to success.

In this auction, a beautiful Ford Model A is offered, which is executed in the variant Fourdoor Sedan. It was first registered in 1932 and, unlike its predecessor, has a completely closed body. The first registration of the restored classic car took place in June 1932, but today it can no longer be confirmed with certainty that the vehicle has matching numbers. The vehicle with the identity number A4475041 was imported from Denmark a few years ago and has thus demonstrably had at least 2 owners, about the other history is very little known due to missing documents. The Ford in the "4-Door" Sedan version has remained accident-free since its restoration and, as a historic automobile, has been entitled to wear H license plates, as well as the UNrestricted driving ability was confirmed by the TÜV in July 2022. The equipment corresponds to the standard of the late 1920s, manual window regulators were integrated and the displays show speed, mileage, speed and battery charge. Very nice are the decorations in various places in the interior, in addition, the then usual portal doors were used for the conception of the entrance. The interior has been extensively renewed in the recent past, so that there are hardly any traces of use.

The Ford Model A has covered 1,500 kilometers, but this mileage can not be proven by the existing documents. On the other hand, the functionality of all instruments and displays can be assumed, especially since meticulous attention was paid to this during the revision and since then no signs of failure could be detected.

The vehicle is equipped with an original Ford engine, which was overhauled and reground by a specialist in the Netherlands. It is a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 3.3 liters, whose power is just over 39 hp (30 KW). The classic car uses a manual 3-speed transmission and, according to the manufacturer, reaches a top speed of 104 kilometers per hour. The last service on the vehicle was carried out in May 2022, no defects or damage could be found on the engine and technology and the underbody also presented itself in a good and rust-free condition.

The Ford Model A was built in loving detail work within 2 years and since then only occasionally used. Repairs should therefore not be necessary at the moment, but good care and regular inspections are a basic prerequisite for the preservation of the vehicle.

The Ford Model A is one of the best-known historical models of the American automobile manufacturer, even if in today's perception it can not reach the predecessor model "Tin Lizzy". In the sales figures per year, however, it was able to surpass the well-known Model T despite the global economic crisis and was omnipresent in the streets of America and in film. Today, the vehicle is a popular collector's item and a real rarity, especially in the Fordor Sedan version with four doors and four seats. The great general condition achieved in the course of the rebuilding is otherwise hard to find in Germany and will give the new owner many happy moments.
