As a non-profit project, a restored Beetle with first registration on 03.09.1974 in Germany is available for auction here. This was classified in a short assessment, for the classification of the insurance value by a motor vehicle expert with the grade 1-. Over the years, the owners and the history are no longer perfectly traceable, so the seller could not give us any exact information about it. For this, the Beetle has an H-approval, an expert opinion and gets fresh TÜV when purchased. Matching numbers are to be assumed, as the vehicle has been restored and no changes have been made or detected in the engine. The keys belonging to the vehicle are also available, according to the seller. It should be emphasized with what precision this Beetle has been restored, so that after the body has been completely separated from the rest, it is now in an almost perfect condition. A replacement value of more than € 55,000 was attested. With this vehicle 7% VAT is included. The reduced VAT rate results from the non-profit restoration.

The new paint was given to the Beetle in the original manufacturer's colour "Light Ivory (L80E)". In addition, headlights of the brand Cibie were attached. If you take a closer look, you can also see here that the beetle is absolutely excellent. There is no rust or other damage. The brown spots on the door hinges show the grease that protects against corrosion and rust. Overall, this 1303 is therefore externally in an absolute dream state.

The Beetle stands on 5.5 × 15-inch rims from ATS with tires in mint condition. Of course, the rims were deliberately chosen and represent an absolutely contemporary look that fits perfectly with the rest of the white lacquer dress of the 1303. The chassis, like the brakes, is also in very good condition. The concealed runs cleanly during the manual opening process and also the linkage is in a very good condition. The bumpers have been painted in body colour.

The interior of this Beetle is really impressive, the built-in Porsche sports seats, with "Pascha" pattern, from the 911, fit perfectly to the sporty steering wheel of the brand MOMO. On the dashboard there is a clock, a cassette radio "Düsseldorf" from Blaupunkt, a cigarette lighter and settings for ventilation. In general, the interior must be highlighted, as no flaws can be found here. The seats, the sky, the door panels, everything has been neatly renewed and restored. Everywhere you will find smaller details, such as the perforated window regulators or a contemporary gear lever from EMPI. The seller states that the entire interior and the soft top are completely new and therefore in an absolutely fantastic condition.

On the odometer 48,148 km can be read, these are not perfectly verifiable due to the lack of history. According to the seller, all instruments and advertisements work without defects. Here you have to get in, turn over the keys, drive off!

The air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine delivers a whopping 50 hp to the rear wheels, which can be cleanly metered by a 4-speed manual transmission. Maintenance and service has been carried out by the seller, according to his own information, fresh for the auction. During the restoration, the underbody was also repainted and has been shining in glossy black ever since. The seller does not specify any necessary repairs or defects. The vehicle was dismantled down to the last screw and rebuilt with new parts and overhauled old parts. The engine and the 4-speed transmission have been completely refurbished and driven about 1,000 km after the overhaul. All components on the vehicle have been tested, cleaned, renewed or restored.

If you now look again at the underbody, you might think that the Beetle has never really been driven properly. Here you bid on an absolutely great collector's vehicle that is immediately ready to be driven. The fact that this Beetle 1303 LS is the last model series of the Beetle convertible makes it a real collector's item. Its timeless design and worldwide success story certainly contribute to the indescribable feeling of taking a spin with this Beetle and open top on a Sunday afternoon. The sun on your face, the wind on your skin and the boxer sound in your ear, this beetle makes many a heart beat faster.
