Sie haben recht, das ist ein Fehler von mir . Der Motor wurde komplett überholt und sollte nicht Austauschmotor, sondern überholter Motor heissen.
Ich habe vergessen es wurden neue Hauptscheinwerfer eingebaut und letzte Woche noch eine neue Batterie. Der Motor ist von einem Mercedes Meister komplett überholt worden, der noch auf diesem Muster ausgebildet wurde . Dadurch hat der Motor noch die begehrte Matching Numbers .

Technik: Eine weniger herausragende Stellung nahm der mit 4,2 Litern Hubraum motorisierte 400 E ein, der im September 1991 debütierte und mit der Modellpflege 2 in E 420 umbenannt wurde. Da er den V8-Motor M 119 E 42 hatte, der in den Außenabmessungen dem stärkeren M 119 E 50 des 500 E/E 500 entsprach, mussten an der Karosserie des 400 E/E 420, die ebenfalls von Porsche entwickelt wurde, dieselben Veränderungen vorgenommen werden, um Motor und Technik zu implantieren. Auch Antriebsstrang, Fahrwerk und Bremsen waren bis auf Details in gleicher Weise modifiziert. Im Gegensatz zum 500 E/E 500 erhielt er jedoch keine Kotflügelverbreiterungen und geänderte Scheinwerferkonfiguration, die diesen vom Rest der W 124-Familie absetzte. Daher unterschied sich der 400 E/E 420 äußerlich bis auf das Typenschild nicht von den Sechszylindermodellen. LG Tom
