...and the only "project-thing" I could imagine about SILVIE (yes, that's the Porsches' name in our family) is an upgrade in the Bilstein-racing segment - and trying 205'er back there... Silvie even has a custom-made spoiler frontwise, which very effectively holds her nose down at speeds above 160... ;-))
Ah, ok, get you - U'r really into it. MFI 2.7 ;-)) In my taste the 3.2 is incredibly full of cool energy, combined with the pre 68'-dress it is the absolute essence - for me ;-) mWe'll set sail to a greece island for future healthy and useful living - that's the reason the silver-bullet has to go...
No never, I just finished a 993 C4S - completely restored but with an outlaw mind-set, RUF lights, Fister Shortstick and mufflers, Bilstein and many other upgrades, it turned out very nicely - but the 993 is still feels like a modern car - so I'm looking for a fun older project. In the perfect world I would buy a MFI 2.7 from 1972-73 - but it's difficult to find something that hasn't been restored.
Thanks Christian, CP-Motorsport looks like a cool shop, we use a similar smaller shop in Copenhagen for all the same reasons. I'll keep researching on your car.
U'r backdating yourself?
Car looks super interesting. But also have a lot of questions: Who initially built the car, and in which year? Which workshop/company built it? Was it built by the current owner or a previous owner? Is there documentation (invoices, photos, build log) from the build? Has the car been rebuilt or modified since the original build? If yes, what and when? Thanks 🙏🏻
Dear Soren! It will a great pleasure for me to meet all your questions in person. The Porsche was backdated after my design-prescriptions into this unique narrow-body-3.2-restomod. I initially purchased the Porsche in 2013 with the immanent plan to backdate it. from then on I was researching a workshop, capable of the demands to do a professional and love-to-all-the-details-backdating. CP-Motorsport in Uhingen, a small but very much known for its expertise (the chief has been decades at the Porsche -factory himself). From the beginning on it was my plan to backdate the 3.2-Carrera back to the narrow-body-early-early-911. I believe, there is not such a car a second time - as far as I do know. The modifications are all documented and there exist bills, of course, and a detailed list of all the parts, bits and pieces which I have been researching and purchasing to make this backdate possible. We - my wife, my son and I, absolutely love this car. The last modifications (original pre-68-side-mirror, original-pre-68-backlights, polished gearshift, interior-carpeting, renovations of the recaros have all been done in 2025). Looking forward for any further questions, best, Christian
The main-backdating-period was from March 2018 until April 2020, including the overhauling of the gearbox and the engine as well. We drove around 30.000 km from then on until today with the Porsche. It is absolut fun to drive either on the highway and - on hill-roads at the countryside. As the recaros are supercomfi, we also enjoyed long highway-courses like Berlin-Munic or into the alps, e.g.
