Questions to the owner and the community
The Shelby registry indicates the engine is. It original to the car.
Is not original to the car
Hello mkeller131, please tell me where you found this information and share it with me.
It’s listed in the Shelby registry through the Shelby American Automobile Club (SAAC). They publish a book with historical details on the Shelby.
I know of the SAAC registry, but the latest document i have does not indicate what you said. Anyways, as the other user told me where to look for the date i will do it asap, probably today, have to make it there. greetings!
Is the 428 engine original, if so, what is the date of the engine block? Do you have the original automatic transmission? Do you have the original front grill with outboard lights? Do you have the original magstar wheels? Do you have the original FoMoCo radiator? Do you have the original exhaust system? Finally I looked at the photos and I don't see where the radio antenna is.
Car is sold as seen in the pictues nothing else included. Engine original, please tell me exactly where to look for the Date and i will check. Antenna installed internally.
Thank you for your quick reply unfortunately I thought you would have the original parts. Concerning the engine, the register indicates that it is not the original one but in 1967, only the GT350s had their VIN stamped on the block but not the GT500s. So it is impossible to say that it is not the original engine as long as the engine is a 428 PI with the correct date. The date of the block is not that important to me anymore but if other potential buyers ask, it is located on the passenger side, behind the starter.
Hello Shelby5! I understand that you are asking for the original parts. Too bad we didnt get them with the car when we bought it. Thanks for your help and your expertise! greetings!
