Model history
The Mercedes-Benz R 129 is a two-seater roadster from the SL series, which was built from 1989 to 2001 and replaced the R 107. Initially known as the "500 SL," it officially became the SL-Class in 1993 – for example, as the "SL 500." With its clean design, high level of safety equipment, and standard hardtop, the R 129 set new standards in the sporty luxury roadster segment. In 2001, it was replaced by its successor, the R 230.

LG Tom
