After the W111, it was indeed the first four-seater Mercedes cabriolet again after 20 years: the open-top 124 series from Mercedes-Benz are coming onto the market late, more precisely more than 4 years after the coupés on whose basis they are created. The convertible series (internal designation A 124) celebrates its premiere at the IAA in 1991, initially there is only the 300 CE-24. Series production began in 1992, and from mid-1993 the medium-sized Mercedes-Benz was officially called the E-Class, recognizable by the badge grille and white turn signals. New models are the four-cylinder convertible E 220 and the six-cylinder E 320 replaces the 300 CE-24. In view of more than 2.2 million W124 saloons, the production number of convertibles was low: only just under 34,000 units were produced.

In this auction, a Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet of the 124 series from the year of construction 1995 can now be auctioned: It is the model E 320 Cabriolet with the FIN WDB1240661C237766 – this was first registered in July 1995. A history of the USA re-import is not available, according to the seller' information, it is also unknown how many owners this Mercedes-Benz has in total. TÜV does not currently own the Cabriolet, 1 vehicle key is available and the matching numbers are given according to the current holder.

"Polar white" adorns the exterior of this E 320 as a plain lacquer version: According to the seller, no defects can be complained about on the body or on the fabric soft top, nor can corrosion be found. According to the assumption of the current owner, this convertible did not get any repainting. The in-line six-cylinder engine generates 220 hp from a displacement of 3.2 litres, the gears are changed via a 5-speed automatic transmission and the power of the 6 cylinders is transmitted to the rear axle.
