Porsche 911 Targa 2.4 MFI Ölklappe (1972)

Vehicle description

Model history:

The Porsche 911 is undoubtedly one of the most successful models of the German carmaker. To this day, this model is considered an absolute classic and is an icon in the automotive industry. In 1972, a very limited and sought-after version came onto the market with the Porsche 911 Targa 2.4 oil flap. It is estimated that only 1000 vehicles were built. The Porsche is equipped with the so-called oil flap, a filler cap for topping up oil. This US version is also equipped with the Mechanic Fuel Injection System (MFI system). This system ensures precise fuel injection and contributes to improved engine performance.

General information about the vehicle:

Now you have the chance to win such a rarity for yourself. The Porsche 911 Targa 2.4 MFI oil flap offered here with the vehicle identification number 9112110335 was first registered in 1972 and has had three previous owners to date. According to information available to us, the car was imported from Texas to Holland in 2014. The Porsche has TÜV until July 2023, is roadworthy, but not registered at the moment. An existing H license plate certifies the 911 its classic car status. Furthermore, the car has matching numbers and an appraisal with a grade of 1-2, which certifies that the car is in very good accident-free condition.

Exterior paint/paint/body:

Due to its bahia red color, the Porsche 911 is an absolute eye-catcher. In the course of a restoration, the car was professionally repainted. At the same time, its original appearance has been retained and the car continues to exude its timeless charm. In addition, some of the chrome-plated elements were replaced with original spare parts. As the professional series of pictures shows, the exterior is in a very neat condition.

Exterior rims/brakes/chassis:

Original Fuchs rims give the Targa a sporty look. Mounted on the Porsche are new Michelin tires, which ensure good road grip. Furthermore, the brake system can also be attested to be in mint condition. With the powerful brakes and precise steering, a safe and unforgettable driving experience is guaranteed.

Interior:

Matching the bahia red paintwork, the interior presents itself with a black leather interior. The original four-spoke steering wheel in combination with the classic dashboard, with the beautifully arranged instruments, conveys a certain elegance in the interior. Overall, the interior - as the pictures show - is in very good shape. Other features include air conditioning and a classic radio, which provides entertainment during the journeys.

Mileage:

In total, the Porsche has been able to gain 113662 km of experience. Since there is no checkbook, the value cannot be traced. The owner certifies that the instruments and displays are fully functional.

Engine:

Another highlight is located in the rear part. The Porsche is powered by a powerful 6-cylinder boxer engine with 140 hp. A manual 5-speed gearbox transmits power to the rear axle and ensures dynamic handling. It should be mentioned that the engine and gearbox were expertly revised during the restoration. Since then, the engine and technology have been running flawlessly and ensure proper driving pleasure. The last service was made in February 2020.

Subsoil:

Like the rest, the underbody is at its best. This is in a very well-kept condition appropriate for its age and is apparently rust-free. As mentioned earlier, the Porsche was restored between 2017 and 2020.

All in all, here you have the chance to win over an absolute icon. Whether you are a collector or a car lover, the Porsche 911 Targa 2.4 oil cap is a piece of history and an absolute rarity due to its limited production number. In addition, this Porsche presents itself in a very neat condition - as the report also attests. Its engine runs cleanly and its looks will attract quite a few eyes.
