The Mercedes-Benz SL500 R129 was presented in 1989. Powered by an impressive 5.0-liter V8 engine with 320 hp and a 5-speed automatic transmission, this roadster impressed with its sporty performance. The interior offered a wide range of safety and technical features in addition to its luxurious leather interior. By the end of production in 2002, almost 205,000 units had been built.
