Model history
The Mercedes-Benz 123 series stands for reliability, durability, and technical progress. Built between 1975 and 1986, it was the brand's best-selling model to date with almost 2.7 million units sold. As the direct successor to the "Strich Acht," the W 123 introduced important safety innovations and was the first Mercedes with a turbo diesel engine in the passenger car segment. In addition to the sedan and coupe, the T-model—the first station wagon in this class—was also a novelty. Starting in the fall of 1984, the W 123 was gradually replaced by the 124 series.

LG Tom
