At the IAA 1991, Porsche presented the 928 GTS: it combined the character of the two models 928 S4 and 928 GT. The well-known V8 engine continued to grow in the GTS: now to 5.4-liter displacement. Thus, the power climbed to 350 hp, which corresponded to the high demands of the series. Decisive for the superior driving experience in the 928 GTS, however, was above all the high torque: at the top it was 500 Newton meters. Externally, the GTS was recognizable by its wider fenders and a newly formed rear spoiler, painted in body color for the first time. Most striking, however, was the continuous light strip at the rear, which borrowed from the look of the 911.

The Porsche offered in this auction is the GTS model of a 928: According to the current owner, the transaxle athlete with the FIN WP0ZZZ92ZNS800324 from the year of construction 1992 has a total of at least 4 previous owners. From 2003 to 2020, the vehicle then ran in the Netherlands before coming back to Germany. Various documents on the traceability of the history of the 928 exist. It can be assumed that the vehicle is matching Nummber. The TÜV of the H-approved Porsche will run until March 2024, 2 vehicle keys are still enclosed. Worth mentioning is a birth certificate of the 928 GTS confirmed by Porsche.

Visually, the 928 GTS in "slate metallic" (color code Q9Q9) convinces against the advanced overall mileage due to its very good body condition for the age of the vehicle. It can be assumed that partial minor beauty touch-ups have been made. The headlights as well as the windows on the vehicle must be attested to a crack-free condition. Parking bumps on the front or rear bumper cannot be identified – the seller excludes an accident with this vehicle in its holding period.

Dunlop tyres from 2021 in the dimensions 225/45 at the front and 255/40 at the rear are mounted on original 5-spoke porsche alloy wheels in a curb-scratch-free condition. The new condition is to be emphasized here. The current holder mentions that there are even wider rims (original Porsche), which are not registered. As very good, the seller states the condition of the brakes (front brake pads, brake discs and brake calipers were replaced), also attests to the chassis a defect-free condition.

According to the mileage, there is some patina in the interior of this 928 GTS – but damage or missing parts in the interior of the Porsche cannot be identified. Seats, door panels, footwell carpet, dashboard, headliner, steering wheel and automatic selector lever are preserved in good condition and indicate the care of the previous owners. In addition to power steering and power windows, the 928 GTS is also equipped with air conditioning, ABS, electric seat adjustment, heated seats and an accessory radio with CD player and USB connection.

The cockpit with on-board computer covers 261,000 kilometers: This mileage is documented by a partially maintained service book as well as various former invoices and previous TÜV reports. All instruments in the interior must be certified as functioning flawlessly.

The last version of the 928 V8 engine delivers 350 hp: In the GTS, the V8 has an engine displacement of 5.4 litres, 4 valves per cylinder and 2 overhead camshafts. A 4-speed automatic transmission takes over the power transmission. The transmission oil was only recently changed. As further recent repairs, the seller states the following: The renewal of the timing belt including water pump, various sealing work, the replacement of the air conditioning compressor and the generator controller as well as the renewal of the battery. According to the current owner, no upcoming work is currently open. A final service took place in October 2021.
