Model history
The BMW E9, built from 1968 to 1975, is considered the brand's style-defining coupé. Technically based on the BMW 2000 CS, the E9 was offered as the 2800 CS, 3.0 CS, and 3.0 CSi and was equipped with the legendary inline six-cylinder engine for the first time. The elegant body was developed in cooperation with Karmann and under the influence of the Italian design house Bertone. With frameless doors, slim roof pillars, and chrome accents, the E9 combined sporty performance with understated elegance. A total of around 30,500 units were built – today, the E9 is a sought-after classic with a lasting impression.

Comments of this past auction
Insgesamt entstanden 30.546 Wagen. Nachfolger des E9 wurde 1976 die erste 6er Baureihe (E24). LG Tom
