Model history

In 1998, the so-called TT was available from Audi: although based on the front-wheel drive frame assembly of the VW Golf IV, the TT was given a completely unique character. Matt aluminum and harmonious lines resulted in an aesthetic overall composition - with a touch of retro. The coupé attracted a large circle of enthusiastic buyers as soon as it was launched and quickly made a name for itself. The coupé was offered with a Quattro option and two different engines. The first TT series remained in the range until 2006, when it was replaced by the second series.
