Model history
The Porsche 911 SC was introduced in the 1978 model year, replacing both the classic 911 and the Carrera. The aim was to streamline the model range and offer the 911 in a unified version. Chrome window surrounds and door handles were typical of the early model years – from 1979 onwards, these were replaced by black anodized versions, giving the vehicle a more modern appearance. The 911 SC came standard with 15-inch alloy wheels from ATS, complemented by electrically adjustable exterior mirrors painted in the same color as the car. The SC was powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, whose output was gradually increased over the course of its production years. In 1984, the 911 SC was finally replaced by the new 911 Carrera.

LG Tom
