Model history
The Advance design series from Chevrolet was introduced in 1947 as the first major new development after the Second World War and was continuously further developed until 1955. With its larger and more modern design, it replaced the AK series and quickly became the best-selling truck in the USA. The range included various body styles such as pick-ups, panel vans and Suburban as well as special cab-over-engine models. Available in different sizes and with a choice of short or long wheelbase, the series remained a bestseller until it was replaced by the Task Force models in 1955 and is a coveted classic today.

LG Tom
