The Mercedes-Benz 190 SL to be purchased in this auction is a year of construction in 1957, which – like so many 190 SL – was first registered in the USA. According to the seller, there is a partial history of the Roadster, but it can not be discussed how many owners have called the car with the chassis number 1210427500849 since the first delivery their own. In addition to 2 vehicle keys, this 190 SL has TÜV until September 2022, the Roadster is already in possession of an H-approval. Matching numbers are given according to the information of the current holder. Also worth mentioning is an existing report on this Mercedes-Benz.

A Mercedes-Benz 190 SL stands on the shortened frame floor system of the W 121 model series ("Ponton-Mercedes"), in the course of the almost 8-year construction period various detail improvements were incorporated into the roadster: For example, in 1956, among other things, additional chrome strips were installed in the roadster and the rear lights were enlarged. The exterior of this Mercedes-Benz 190 SL offered here is classically decorated in "silver metallic". Over the years, the roadster has been subjected to a complete livery, external defects are not to be listed. Also color differences in the paint image or matt chrome on the car can not be objected to. No damage can be removed from the soft top or rear window of the Mercedes-Benz. In addition, according to the seller's statements, this 190 SL has no modifications deviating from the original condition.

New tires in the dimension P185/80 are mounted on 13 inch original steel rims with chrome hubcaps, the condition of the brakes is indicated by the current holder as new and the condition of the chassis can apparently not be taken out of any deficits.

Luxuriously equipped, the interior of the 190 SL is expressed in the case of this car by a red interior with ivory-colored steering wheel. The red leather seats are thickly upholstered and in perfect condition, and the door panels, dashboard, footwell carpet and all the controls in the interior of the Mercedes-Benz also impress with their impeccable condition. Nowhere can damage or even missing parts be complained about. In addition to the glamorous two-spoke steering wheel with chrome horn ring, the equipment of this 190 SL includes the separately adjustable heating control for driver and front passenger with additional fan for defrosting the windows as well as a tarpaulin and a Motorola radio.

The dashboard of the 190 SL has a relationship to the 300 SL (gullwing): speed gauge on the left, speedometer on the right, including 3 additional instruments. According to the current owner, the mileage of 79,920 kilometres cannot be fully understood, but in view of the completely healthy condition of this Mercedes-Benz, the roadster cannot yet have collected too many kilometres. Except for the radio, all instruments and displays work without problems.

The OHC four-cylinder engine, which has a displacement of 1.9 litres and a Solex twin-carburettor system, delivers 105 hp. The power of the 190 SL is transmitted to the rear wheels via a fully synchronized 4-speed manual transmission. The seller mentions that the engine runs very well and the gears can be inserted perfectly. In September 2020, the last service work took place, as upcoming work, the current owner mentions the repair of the turn signal system.
The underbody of this roadster is rock-solid and extremely healthy. A Mercedes-Benz 190 SL exudes glamour and glitz, and almost everyone knows this elegant roadster through its numerous film appearances. With this classic silver 190 SL and the interior in red, the future owner is assured of a chic appearance with a Mercedes-Benz combined with high solidity.
