Model history:

From 1960 to 1976, various models were produced under the name "Dart" by the American automobile manufacturer Dodge. With a completely new body design, which was very sharp-edged, the fourth generation of the Dodge Dart came onto the market from 1967. These models received, among other things, revised steering, a wider track and a larger engine range. Over the years, the Dodge Dart constantly received various facelifts and the wealth of variants became more diverse. Finally, the fourth generation was produced until 1976, only in 2013 Dodge revived the model name Dart.

General information about the vehicle:

In this auction there is now the opportunity to acquire a partially restored Dodge Dart GT from the year of manufacture 1970, which was imported from the U.S. and according to the seller statements has only 1 owner. Although there is no checkbook available, the mileage can be partially traced. This Dodge Dart GT already has an H-registration and the last completed MOT shows a validity until October 2023. Also worth mentioning is an appraisal from 2015 for this vehicle, which certified a market value of 28,000 € and gave the Dodge Dart GT a condition rating of 1.

Exterior Color / Paint / Body:

Visually, the Dodge makes a good impression: air scoops on the hood, a spoiler on the trunk lid and various black foiled body elements provide a muscle car appearance par excellence. According to the valuation report, the car's paintwork has been new before, and the seller can rule out the possibility of an accident in the current ownership. All add-on parts on the vehicle are obviously in good condition and optical inconsistencies can obviously not be listed. In addition, all chrome trim elements on the vehicle are in shining condition. Exterior Rims/Brakes/Suspension:

BF Goodrich tires - which show a condition of 70-90% - are mounted on 14 inch and black powder-coated rally

The tires came new last summer, and all brakes (including RBS and HBZ) were also replaced in the process. In addition, the propshaft was balanced and new universal joints were used. The 8.75'' rear axle was also rebuilt last summer (with Dr. Diff Sure-Trac differential incl. Green Bearings). Currently a 749 case with 3.73 gearing is installed. Only 2 years old are the KYB shocks front and rear, furthermore the car has Hotchkiss leaf springs and mounts.

Interior:

Sporty continues - as the exterior already suggested - in the interior: 3-spoke leather steering wheel, black leatherette seats and various chrome and silver accents provide a good look in the interior of this Dodge. A rally dashboard is installed and the equipment includes among other things a retro sound radio with hands-free system. Except for a heating/ventilation part missing behind the dash, the seller is not aware of any missing parts.

Mile

The Dodge Dart GT has run 84,000 miles since its initial registration in 1970 - although there is no longer a checkbook available for the car, the total mileage can be partially understood after consultation with the seller. Except for the non-functioning fuel gauge, all instruments and gauges are in working order.

Engine

Under the hood is a 318cui LA small block V8 (5.2-liter) with an Edelbrock RPM-Performer intake manifold and 600 Holley carburetor. Power is transmitted via A904 3-speed automatic transmission to the rear axle. Good sound is provided by the 2.25'' exhaust system with H-pipe and FloPro Max mufflers. Last service work took place in October 2021.

Underbody:

Except for light flash rust there are no inconsistencies on the underbody, furthermore the seller states that the underside of the Dodge is unwelded. With this Dodge Dart GT released for auction the future owner secures a typical American muscle car, which comes up not only optically, but also technically with many improvements. In addition, the vehicle has been well maintained and many wear parts came new over the years. According to the seller, this car is not only light and fast, but is also rich on the road.
