The car brand Whippet should only be known to real connoisseurs today. After all, this is a vehicle manufacturer that ceased production in 1931. It is therefore all the more astonishing what well-preserved specimens are still available on the market today – some nine decades later. This is also the case with this Willys-Overland Whippet 96A, which dates back to 1929, which is in excellent condition.

The color of the whippet is a yellow paint. Some time ago, according to the seller, the car underwent a complete overhaul in terms of color. According to the current state of knowledge, there are also no external modifications. The current owner is also not aware of any other defects.

The present model with the vehicle identification number 360030 is currently based in Langeskov, Denmark. According to the seller, nothing is known about the number of previous owners, but the car has been in Danish ownership for a long time and thus does not represent an import. The Whippet has a TÜV approval according to Danish standards from 2017 and also has an H-badge. Despite its proud age, the car is still ready to drive and approved for normal road traffic. A checkbook with all important information, which dates back to 1929, is also available, according to the seller. According to the seller, the model is accident-free in a possession.

The mounted rims are original wooden wheels, which, according to the seller, are in good condition and have no modifications. In general, according to the seller, no abnormalities on the entire chassis are known. The brakes are also at a good level. Overall, according to the seller, there are no external deficits.

The interior impresses with timeless fabric. Damage in the interior is non-existent, only time has left a little of its mark. Overall, however, all this is within the normal framework.

The 29,607 kilometres covered are easy to understand thanks to TÜV and invoices. All available instruments run flawlessly. The matching numbers are also available.

The Whippet is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and 40 hp. Drivers can also look forward to a three-speed transmission. The last service dates from 2022 and is therefore to be regarded as particularly up-to-date. Mechanical defects were not noticed. The underbody of the car is in good condition, which is quite due to the maintenance and multi-point inspection in 2022. At the moment, no further repairs have to be carried out.
