Model history
The Mercury Eight was the first independent model from the Mercury brand, which was positioned by Ford between 1939 and 1951 as a mid-range brand between Ford and Lincoln. In a total of three generations, the Mercury Eight offered various body styles such as coupes, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons. Initially with a stand-alone body, later based on Ford and Lincoln designs, the Eight developed into a typical representative of American post-war automobiles. In 1952, the model was replaced by the Mercury Monterey, ending the era of the Eight.

LG Tom
