The Porsche 911 Turbo has always been regarded as the quintessential German super sports car. The first generation, known internally as the 930, first saw the light of day in 1975. Initially with 260 hp, the lightning-fast Swabian developed into one of the most sought-after sports cars ever over the years. From 1978 onwards, Porsche increased its performance and gave the 911 Turbo an enlarged 3.3-liter boxer engine with intercooling. For fans of open-top driving, Porsche also offered the 911 Turbo 3.3 in combination with the convertible body from 1987: The soft top was electrically operated as standard and Porsche naturally adopted the huge rubber rear spoiler from the Turbo Coupé.
