Model history
The Mercedes-Benz W114/115, also known as the "Strich-Acht" (Stroke Eight), marked an important step in the history of Mercedes-Benz. For the first time, safety features such as crumple zones and disc brakes were introduced in a mid-size car. The coupé variants, such as the 280 CE offered here, were considered particularly elegant representatives of the series. With its 2.8-litre inline six-cylinder engine combined with an automatic transmission, the car combined superior performance with the typical Mercedes comfort of the time.

Comments of this past auction
LG Tom
