Model History
The Mercedes-Benz 230 SL, known internally as the W 113, was developed from the ground up based on the shortened W 111 sedan platform and combined S-Class technology with a sporty character. After several rejected predecessors, such as the W127, the 230 SL was introduced in 1963—equipped with a powerful 2.3-liter six-cylinder engine with fuel injection and the distinctive “pagoda” hardtop. According to Fritz Nallinger, the head of engineering at the time, the goal of the development was a “safe, fast sports car with high levels of comfort”—a concept that continues to fascinate to this day.

Comments of this past auction
Note 1- für dieses Fahrzeug?
LG Tom
