Model history
The Series 2 of the Jaguar E-Type was manufactured from 1968 onwards and differed significantly from its predecessors – both technically and visually. Influenced by US specifications, the glass covers on the headlights were removed, the bumpers became more massive, and the turn signals and taillights were moved under the bumpers. A larger radiator opening, dual fans, and modified interior controls made the E-Type more suitable for everyday use, but less purist. The 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine was also less powerful in the US version. A total of around 13,500 Series 2 vehicles were produced.

LG Tom
