Mercedes Benz 280 SE Cabriolet W111 (1970)

Moritz Helbich

Kickdown's Take

by Moritz Helbich

The W111, whether as a coupe or a convertible, is arguably one of the most elegant vehicles in Mercedes history. The flat-grille models, in particular, have established themselves as exclusive classic cars. The flat-grille convertible offered here features an exceptionally elegant color combination and is in excellent condition. Many W111s have been “over-restored,” but that is not the case here: The car is in very good condition and, at the same time, has a special charm thanks to its light patina.

Summary

This 1970 Mercedes-Benz W111 280 SE Cabriolet is a very well-maintained vehicle delivered in Germany, featuring an H-license plate and a valid TÜV inspection valid through 09/2027. Of particular note is the professional, period-correct conversion from a coupe to a convertible performed by Hofmann in Aalbergen, which has been certified by an expert and officially registered.
