Model history:

The second generation of the BMW 3 Series was produced from 1981. The only two two-door models as 323i followed by the 320i from January 1982 and 316/318i from March 1982. From January 1983, the four-door sedans were added. The series was extended in January 1986 by the convertible with fully retractable soft top and without roll bar. In 1987, the station wagon touring was introduced. Production of the convertible ended in April 1993. The Touring remained on sale as the last variant of the E30 series until April 1994. The design was taken from the first 3 Series by Paul Bracq and Boyke Boyer and further developed with the E30 under Claus Luthe.

This auction is a BMW 318 i Convertible, which was first registered in 2000. The vehicle bears the vehicle identification number WBABH31060EZ09703 and has so far been driven by three owners. The current owner has received the BMW 3 Series as an heirloom. The car is ready to drive and, according to information, was only moved in the summer. In its current ownership, the convertible was driven accident-free. The vehicle does not currently have a valid TÜV, which expired in March 2023. On request, the main inspection can be redone before the sale. There is no checkbook.

Exterior colour/varnish/body:

Characteristic, as it is known at BMW, is also this model with the two-part rounded radiator grille. The BMW Convertible presents itself on the outside in a very noble black paint dress. It should be borne in mind that repainting cannot be excluded. Lau sellers find a small rust spot on the front fender driver's side and a scratch on the rear bumper passenger side. The fabric roof of the convertible has two places where the Nat is open, but it has so far proven to be tight. No modifications have been made to the vehicle and it is in original condition. The condition of the brakes is given by the owner of the BMW with 70-90%. Original BMW rims are mounted on the convertible. The condition of the tires mounted on it is between 50-70%. There are slight scratches on the rims. Further changes and damage to the brakes and the chassis are not known.

Interior:

The interior of the BMW Convertible is finished with fine leather. Also in the interior everything was left in original condition. Here you will also find the original BMW radio for playing CDs. As further equipment, the car brings the following: power steering, central locking, electric windows, seat heating, air conditioning, ABS and folding roof. The engine of the electric roof broke down in August 2022. In addition, the convertible has a parking heater. Through the photos you can get an impression of the state of the interior.

Mileage:

Since its registration, the convertible has driven a total of 73,709 kilometers in the summer months. This information is only partially traceable from the current holder. A checkbook is not available from the BMW. All instruments have run without problems so far.

Engine:

The BMW 318 i comes with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder in-line engine. The engine with a displacement of 1796 cc brings the convertible 115 hp of power. The vehicle has a manual 5-speed transmission. The last major customer service has an invoice from March 2021.

Subsoil:

The underbody is, according to the seller and as seen in the photos, in a stainless condition. According to the current owner, no repairs have been carried out recently and no upcoming repairs are known.
