Technik: Der Porsche 996 ist ein 2+2-Sitzer-Sportwagen der Porsche AG, der von 1997 bis 2006 in Zuffenhausen hergestellt wurde. Das Fahrzeug ist der Nachfolger des Porsche 993 und die fünfte Generation der 911er-Baureihe. Der 996 ist das erste Modell der 911-Baureihe mit einem wassergekühlten Motor und (nach dem 1996 eingeführten Porsche Boxster) das zweite Porsche-Modell mit einem Boxermotor ohne Luftkühlung. Porsche gab 1997 dieses fünfzig Jahre lang verwendete Konzept endgültig auf. Der Porsche 996 wurde von Harm Lagaay gestaltet.
