The Morgan Plus 8 was presented at the London Motor Show, Earls Court, in September 1968. It attracted worldwide interest, and it was also well received in Germany. The light-alloy eight-cylinder engine in conjunction with a reinforced Morgan frame represented an interesting combination: Due to its front-loadedness, a Plus 8 proved to be a strong overpricer. When in 1977 the Plus 8 could also be obtained with an aluminium body instead of a steel body, it was lighter and even faster, but that was not all: in 1990, the car was equipped with a 3.9-litre engine. Later, versions with 4.0-liter and 4.6-liter engines with catalytic converter and five-speed transmission followed.

The Morgan Plus 8 offered in this auction is a right-hand drive and comes from the year of construction 2001. As intended, the roadster was first delivered in January 2002 in Great Britain, a total of 3 vehicle owners are known. The first owner had the vehicle designed at the factory for Clubsport and equipped it with all the necessary chassis modifications. 2 key sets are available for the car with the FIN SA9P8400004R12702, the TÜV runs until April 2024 and a history can be traced on the basis of previous invoices and receipts, as well as a checkbook. Among other things, Morgans are known for their purist body designs, which has made them certain classic cars in the past. With the rare special paint finish "Rolls Royce Larkspur Blue", this Plus 8, equipped with wide-body and not repainted, is in extremely good condition in terms of paint without defects. The chrome bumpers at the front and rear are not pressed in and the chrome applications on the vehicle are still in full gloss. The original black soft top is a quick-release soft top from Librands and is in crack-free condition. The original plug-in discs are also available. Toyo tires are mounted in the dimension of 225/50 on 16 inch Morgan chrome spoke wheels. According to the sellers, the tyres still have a good profile and the rims are preserved without curb scratches. There are no defects in the inner-bodied brake discs, the chassis is apparently in its original condition and has been extensively reinforced.

Black adorns the entire interior as a color: the full leather seats do not seem to have sat through, the gear knob is not worn and the dashboard is free of any cracks. If you let your gaze wander through the entire interior, you will not see any damage. The driver reaches for a perforated three-spoke leather steering wheel. The door panels are also in perfect condition, no stains can be removed from the interior carpet. The persenning belonging to the soft top is available. This Morgan Plus 8 is equipped with a radio and a chrome roll bar.

The engine compartment is in clean condition, the eight-cylinder starts immediately and has no defects, the transmission can be shifted well. In April 2022, a final service took place. An additional oil cooler provides better cooling performance, a stainless steel exhaust system for good sound. In addition, the seller mentions that there are many extras for club sports.
