Suzuki is a Japanese conglomerate that was founded in 1909, but after initial attempts in 1937 did not produce its own cars until the early 1950s. In Germany, the small cars and vans initially played no role, only in 1979 the off-road vehicle LJ 80 was presented at the IAA and in 1983 came with the Suzuki Swift the first small car of the Japanese on the market. In other European countries, the history goes back a little further. In 1978, the SC 100 was specially developed for export and sold several thousand times in Great Britain and the Netherlands.

This auction will feature a Suzuki SC 100 GX De Luxe Coupé manufactured in Japan in 1980 and subsequently exported to Europe. The vehicle was first registered in July of the same year and has had 3 owners to date. The dynamic small car has only been in Germany for a few years, has matching numbers and is equipped with H license plates. The vehicle is registered and ready to drive, the TÜV status must not be renewed until September 2023. The history of the little Japanese with the vehicle ID SC10000503752 is easily comprehensible on the basis of numerous documents and invoices. The accident-free vehicle, which has been in good condition and has long been in the possession of a member of the Dutch Suzuki fan club, will be handed over to the new owner with three keys.

The Suzuki SC 100 GX is painted silver-grey as it was delivered, in some places the colour has been carefully renewed. As a result, the exterior is in good condition, a Louver rear spoiler mounted by the former owner is the only modification to the vehicle. In Japan, a four-cylinder rear engine was installed in the De Luxe Coupé, which produces 49 hp with a displacement of just under 1 litre. The top speed is just over 140km/h, and the power transmission is controlled by a 4-speed gearbox. The last service on the vehicle was carried out in June 2022, and no defects could be found in the engine, transmission and other technology. The underbody is also in good condition, but smaller rust spots on the sill on the right should be kept in mind.

Recently, some minor workshop work has been carried out and, among other things, the condition of the brakes has been improved.
