Model history

The W126 series was introduced in 1979 as the new luxury class generation from Mercedes-Benz, replacing the W116 series. It set new standards in safety, comfort, and efficiency and was produced until 1991—with individual special-purpose vehicles even remaining in production until 1994. With a total of over 890,000 units produced, including around 74,000 coupés (C126), the W126 is still considered the world's most built luxury sedan. It was ahead of its time and shaped the image of the S-Class for over a decade. It was succeeded by the W140 series.

Summary

A very well-maintained 1991 Mercedes-Benz W126 in Astral Silver with blue velour interior is for sale. The vehicle was originally delivered in Japan and has been in Germany since 2012. The low mileage is partially verifiable, and a service history with some gaps is available. Thanks to its H license plate and valid TÜV until August 2025, this Mercedes is ready to drive immediately. A special highlight of this car is its extremely comprehensive range of equipment, including a heated and electrically adjustable rear seat. The equipment works perfectly. A total of approximately $16,000 has been invested, including the air conditioning conversion. An all-round elegant classic for connoisseurs and enthusiasts.

LG Tom
