Model history

At the end of the 1970s, Porsche relied on the tried-and-tested 911 concept with the 911 SC model series, which was convincing both in everyday driving and on winding country roads. The 911 SC was produced from 1978 to 1983 and was regarded as the successor to the 911 Carrera 2.7, with "SC" standing for "Super Carrera". In technical terms, the SC was characterized by an air-cooled 3.0-litre six-cylinder boxer engine, which produced between 180 and 204 hp in various versions. Other features included improved galvanization of the bodywork to prevent rust and standard safety features such as brake force distribution and an improved chassis. Thanks to its balanced technology and classic lines, the SC is now one of the most sought-after models of the air-cooled era.

LG Tom
