Model history

The Fiat 2300 S Coupé was designed in the Ghia design studios in Turin in collaboration with Tom Tjaarda and has been regarded as a masterpiece of Italian elegance and performance since its presentation in 1961. Press representatives rightly described it as the Ferrari of the little man, as it was virtually unrivaled in terms of prestige, looks and performance at a fair price. Especially at the rear, it bears similarities to Ferrari models from the same era, such as the Ferrari 330 GT and 330 GTC, which were also designed by Tom Tjaarda. Nevertheless, the FIAT coupé lends the vehicle a unique identity with its own design language and grace, particularly in the roof line. Based on the FIAT 2300 saloon presented in 1961, the 4.62 m long 2+2-seater coupé adopted the basic six-cylinder version of the engine. The S version offered here was refined by Abarth, including with sharper camshafts, and ultimately achieved an output of 96 kW / 131 hp.
