Model history:

The BMW Z4 E89 is the second generation of the Z4 roadster, which was produced by BMW from 2009 to 2016. It is the successor to the BMW Z4 E85 and was presented as a concept car at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Compared to the previous model, the E89 is characterized by a more aggressive body, designed by Adrian van Hooydonk. Unlike its predecessor, it has a metal folding roof that can be opened or closed within 20 seconds. In 2016, production of the Z4 E89 was discontinued to make way for the new BMW Z4 G29 model.
