Model history:
It took 13 years until Jaguar's longing for an XJS full convertible as the successor to the E-Type was finally fulfilled. From 1983 there was the so-called XJ-SC, which had two removable roof halves, but a classic convertible was missing the customers. In 1988, Jaguar finally introduced an open production model without brackets: The XJS engine range includes in-line six-cylinder and V12. The special feature of the XJS convertibles was a soft top that could be opened in just 12 seconds, which was equipped with an electrohydraulic drive and thus underlined the luxury of a Jaguar.
